BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 says goodbye to Adobe Flash

Once upon a time, Flash ruled the web. The mobile web wasn’t left out either. However, iOS has never supported Flash with Apple choosing instead to forge ahead with HTML5. Eventually, Android OS dropped Flash too. Now, in BlackBerry OS 10.3.1, the Canadian manufacturer has discarded Flash as well.

Because the Classic runs 10.3.1 out of the box, Flash is unsupported. Other BB10 users need to be aware that once they get the 10.3.1 update, they will lose built-in Flash functionality in the web browser too.
In 2011, Adobe stopped development of mobile Flash and embraced HTML5. The BlackBerry 10 browser offers strong HTML5 support, so it is forward ever from here.
